Warning: This contains spoilers for the latest episode of If Loving You Is Wrong. If you haven't seen it, go watch it and eat that last piece of chicken. If you have...why are you still reading this? Review after the jump!
The first scene only rubs me the wrong way because the way they left things off with Claudia, Lushion and Natalie I expected Love and Hip Hop: ILYIW but instead Natalie lets Claudia get away. That's fine with me because I actually like Claudia and would love for that pretty hair to stay attached to her scalp (or those tracks, I can't tell if it's real or not). After Claudia leaves, Natalie begs Lushion to tell her the truth about whether or not he's doing any type of illegal shit with Eddie and he denies it, of course. She still doesn't believe him and just begs that her kids stay safe. Lushion assures Natalie no one will mess with them, especially after Lushion shot Eddie's ass to ras. Damn I wish he wasn't wearing that vest.
Alex is still at Kelly's house with the baby, hiding out from everyone because why wouldn't she when everyone in her life is absolutely insane. Think about it. All Alex did was fuck the buff black man next door. Randal, Marcie, Brad, her father and mother are all absolutely crazy and have done the absolutely most to get back at each other. Kelly reminds Alex what a great person she was before shit went bananas, in a strangely beautiful scene, and tells her to do something to make herself feel better and to focus on her. But then, girl. Alex' kids come home from school and fawn over how cute the baby is, but the second thing that comes out of these children's mouth is "how did he get a tan already?" "Has he been out in the sun?" ...... And finally, Alex reveals she had an affair with Randal and that they're getting a divorce. Her son is visibly upset, while the daughter is more understanding and comforts her mother. It's a calming, real, heartfelt scene. Well, as heartfelt as a scene about two white kids coming home to find out they have a black baby brother, but heartfelt nonetheless.
Eddie's bum ass tries to hit on Claudia, before she shuts him down and asks about Pete. After she tells him that she didn't know Pete all that well (even though she was just crying over him and he asked her out a few episodes back) he continues trying to flirt with her and she, along with the rest of us, kept rolling her eyes at his fluke ass. The moment he offers her his number, Esperanza comes behind her. Assuming she's coming for Claudia because she sucks at her job, which she does, and not because she was talking to Eddie, I'm not going to read her this week but if there is any type of indication she's jealous of Claudia talking with Eddie then she has another thing coming at her from me. Esperanza tells Claudia she might be at the wrong place of employment because her credentials don't add up meaning this bitch probably lied her black ass off on the resume for the call center which is excellent because it's exactly what I would do. Who knew that you needed so many codes to operate a phone? Steven announces to the office that Pete's going to make it but he needs police protection. Andrew offers to help out but Eddie says some bull crap about him being emotionally invested (...wouldn't that make him better protection?) so he offers up Ben and Stuart Little over here nods and obeys like the little wimp he is. I'm not sure if this is a blessing in disguise for Pete or not because Ben seems to actually care about Pete so he might be a little bit of help but Eddie won't let that last for long. After everyone leaves, Andrew tells Lushion that he can't trust anyone here and that Pete isn't safe. Well...duh.
Marcie and Brad are in the back door pilot for their new spin-off: Marcie and Brad Take East Atlanta. The scene is pretty uncomfortable, filled with random dialogue and uncomfortable stares until Brad asked to "hold" her. She says no, hugs him and apologizes to him for sleeping with him and reveals she's only been with four guys in her life and it's all innocent and sweet, Brad basically tells her he wants to sleep with her, she says nah, and long story short she drives him home to get some paperwork. Randal is on the porch and Miss Louise joins him with her bag, revealing she's going home because Randal is "too much" and tells him she can feel it in her soul that this is probably the last time she will see him. It's hard to watch, but touching to see Randal come down to Earth and just be a son. And then ironically, Brad and Marcie pull up outside his house and Randal snaps like a twig. He charges to the car after Brad leaves and tells Marcie he will "ruin her life" for taking him to the shed and driving his car...when...Randal took Alex in the shed first and started all of this mess. But how many times can I write the same thing? This is all Randal's fault and his constant insane hot mess of a hypocritical ass is really starting to piss me off. Miss Louise manages to get Randal away from Marcie just in time for Brad to come out and get served (by Randal). But then Marcie runs out of the car and tells him not to open the envelope. Did this nigga lace it with anthrax? Damn, it's just court papers!
EPISODE GRADE: C+
While Randal is getting annoying, I like Alex a little now and can't wait for next week. Randal reads Kelly, Alex reads Randal...YOU GET A READ, YOU GET A READ EVERYBODY GETS A READ!
