X Factor UK 2015 Highlights: Top 10 Worst Performances

I was considering naming this "Low-lights" because these are the worst performances, but it was too gross a name for me. Haha. These are the top ten worst (subjectively my I opinion) performances of Series 12 of X Factor UK!
10. KIERA WEATHERS (GIRLS)
"I Will Always Love You" // 6 Chair Challenge
Let's get one thing straight, Kiera's vocals weren't bad. Kiera's vocals were virtually never bad. Her problem was the fact that her voice lacked power so although she sounded good when she was singing, you really couldn't tell because she tended to get swallowed up by her songs and this was a prime example. Her vocals were actually pretty good. The problem was that her delivery was so basic and boring it was awkward that she was trying to push out emotions that looked like they weren't there.

09. CHE CHESTERMAN (BOYS)
"Hello" // Top 5
Yes, Che forgot half the words to the most popular song in the world right now. On the plus said, he was Che. During the parts he didn't remember, he just did run after run and it actually sounded gorgeous. Had he slapped the lyrics on top of his new melody, it probably would have been gorgeous to listen to. But he didn't. And also, he seemed so taken back by his forgetting the lyrics that he was flat for the rest of the song. It had a lot of potential but it was all squandered.

08. MONICA MICHAELS (GIRLS)
"Crazy In Love" // Top 11

Well, on paper this should have worked. Monica is fierce. And, Beyonce? How much more fierce could you get? I have no idea what happened but there was way too much going on the stage. Monica looked so uncomfortable. She was in a dress and Monica doesn't do dresses. Her over the top hand motions were completely over the top of over the top and it sounded like it was karaoke because it was literally the same arrangement form 50 Shades of Grey.

07. TOM BLEASBY (BOYS)
"I Look to You" // 6 Chair Challenge
I said back in my initial review of the boys that Tom dropping out was a blessing in disguise and that I would explain it later. Well, here I am! Here's the thing about Tom, he shares a lot of the same qualities as Jordan Smith of the American version of The Voice. He can sing extremely high and you can sort of feel something when he's singing, but with Tom it's only because he picks inspirational songs for his voice. Tom relies on his upper register and it really let him down this time. He was so out of tune it was almost as if he was singing a completely different song and the runs he hit made me want to run away. I have no idea what Cheryl and Nick were listening to when they started smiling. It sounded like that dude on American Idol who sang in 7 different voices for his audition. He has absolutely no control of his voice and after a few weeks of this I probably would have just fast forwarded through him every week and that would have been a waste of a spot in the Top 24 that went to a deserving Mason Noise.

06. ANTON STEPHANS (OVERS)
"Dance With My Father Again" // Top 13

Anton's vocals weren't bad, but they weren't as good as they had been previously in the competition. Those crazy eyes were good for earlier in the competition to give him some attention but with a song this emotional, they reminded you of an Alfred Hitchcock character with daddy issues. It just all felt a little forced.

05. BUPSI (OVERS)
"You're a Wonderful One" // Top 13
Bupsi, no. Watching this performance makes me really sad because she had so much potential. Bupsi has a pretty good voice but what really set her apart from everyone else was the fact that she was so interesting, fun and unpredictable. I don't even know what wrong. Maybe it was her nerves? She seemed stiff and looked really uncomfortable on the stage.

04. ANTON STEPHANS (OVERS)
"One Sweet Day" // Top 7
Here's the thing I don't understand. Anton had some pretty stellar vocal moments before the live shows so why this didn't work? I have no idea. He was off pitch for a lot of the song and it just wasn't up to par wiht what everyone else was doing in the competition up to this point. The one positive thing was that we got "THIS IS ALL REAL" out of Anton when Nick criticized his lack of authenticity.

03. NATHANAEL LANDSKROVER ( BOYS)
"I Have Nothing" // 6 Chair Challenge
Whaaaaaaa? Why did he choose a Whitney Houston song? Why did he choose a ballad? Why did he sing it...like that? He seemed really nervous so I won't fault him too much but it wasn't just that he forgot the lyrics. When he found his way back into the song it was out of tune, of key, the pitch was all in different places, it was just so underwhelming.

02. PAPASIDERO (BOYS)
"Titanium" // Bootcamp

One of the, if not the, most memorable moments of bootcamp. There was a lot of potential for this performance to be awesome but two things; Narnia: The Banshee, The Pitch & The Wardrobe. Everything was all good until he started pulling his clothes off because he couldn't get his top off so it was an awkward mix of him trying to get it off but also trying to make it look like he wasn't trying so hard to get it off. Then, he grabs the mic and attempted to hit a high G or something but everyone else was more like "oh gee, no!!!!!!!"  In retrospect:

01. ANTON SEPHANS (OVERS)
"Bang Bang/All About That Bass"

"He can't just sing ballad after ballad after ballad." If this is the end result, yes he can. This was awful. I didn't want to dance I wanted to cringe. Cheryl's face throughout his entire performance gave me endless life. Especially at the end when she had no idea what to say. Everything from the choreo with him thrusting and trying to give us James Brown during the "All About That Bass" segment was border-lining on uncomfortable. He was running around the stage during "Bang Bang" like he lost his keys (which he did in a way, because what were those vocals?)
