The Voice 9 Highlights: Top 5 Worst Performances

Here's the thing about The Voice, it may be pretty cheesy sometimes but it actually takes itself seriously - unlike The X Factor. So aside from a few off performances here and there, it was pretty hard to try and find the "worst" performances of the season. To me, at least, there weren't many "bad" performances. Just boring ones. And I don't think "boring" warrants being labeled one of the worst performances of the season, I really just don't. I'm really just doing this because it feels a little wrong to do this for X Factor and not The Voice, because there were some turds in the point. So without further adieu~

05. REGINA LOVE (GWEN)
"Hello"
Regina has an amazing voice, but it's a big voice. The song was way too intimate for her big voice so the performance fell very flat. Also, she looked extremely nervous and uncomfortable the entire time she was on stage.

04. MARK HOOD (PHARRELL)
"Against All Odds"
Much like Regina, his theatrics and over-the-topness was way too big for this song. He sounded alright but it seemed like the song was constricting him, as opposed to showing off his versatility.

03. BRAIDEN SUNSHINE (GWEN)
"Radioactive"
This was Braiden's worst decision in the entire show. The grandma's are the ones voted him through this far, so one, why did he think this was a good idea? Don't get me wrong, he was on pitch the whole time but the tone of his voice was all wrong and it wrecked the performance.

02. MARK HOOD (PHARRELL)
"What Do You Mean"
Mark had style, personality and was fierce. The only problem? I don't think he knew who/what he wanted to be as an artist, and even if he did, we couldn't tell - so he wasn't doing that great of a job showing us. He started off playing the piano, got up and started spinning around like he was Michael Jackson doing Billy Jean, tried to give us Weeknd "false"-etto, and when he wasn't in his head voice/falsetto he sounded like a bad John Legend impersonator. It just felt like watching a Steven Universe fusion of a bunch of different artists and having one confused Stevonnie.

01. CHANCE PEÑA (ADAM)
"Barton Hallow"
I can't spend too much time on this because, one, he was never really relevant to me. Not saying that to be rude, but I didn't watch anything prior to (the contestants who advanced) the Playoffs and he was a wildcard/bring back artist so I had no idea who he was...and this was a terrible first impression on me. He wasn't even singing the song, he was just screaming and aggressively blowing into the microphone.
