Veronica pays Ericka a visit. I'm going to be honest, if this scene was done about two seasons ago, I probably would have lived for it. Veronica is still one of the most entertaining aspects of this show, but you can only go so hard for a stone cold bitch until it begins to bother you that essentially nothing phases her. I don't know why she is the way she is and it this point it feels as if she's just being a bitch to be a bitch. The scene was quite entertaining. "You look like you come from a warm climate," had me on the floor ROLLING. Eventually hotel security came into the room and she calmly left, but I could take or leave Veronica at this point. It's interesting to see how Tyler Perry will set up deliberate things that could be an absolute game changer for a character (Kathryn and Veronica, Wyatt and the drugs) but have them fall back into their old, tired habits.

I don't have much to say about everything Candace is involved with this week. I've said enough how much I don't like the direction of where her character is going, and she's not absolutely dreadful this week, but I still get migraines listening to her. First, she scowls Jeffrey about falling for Justin because she's fallen in love with people mixed up in "the game" and it always destroyed her. Second, I actually lived for the way she got Oscar/Daniel/IDC the hell up out of there. Next, Ericka and Candace had a pointless conversation (aside from the fact that it basically confirms that Ericka is up to something fishy and that Candace is catching on). On a positive note, Benny finally bucked up to her and had to scare her into coming to the motel with Hanna and Lil Q! But the road was so long. The Young are so stubborn.

The DA is officially missing. I have thoroughly enjoyed having Jim back in the mix. Although his dialogue, like everyone else's, has resulted in becoming dragged out to the point where it's annoying to hear him talk, he seems to be the only one with sense. Kathryn, while I respect what a boss she is, refuses to believe that she will lose a case to (what Tyler Perry wants us to believe is) the best lawyer in the country on a bull shit story. When he tells her that he'll leave if she talks to Veronica, which leads to him being the one leave to have a conversation I couldn't help but get a little excited. Nearly every episode is a filler episode at this point but you have to admit it will be fun to see Jim and Veronica confront each other next week.

EPISODE GRADE: C+
Storyline grades:
(Veronica/Ericka): B-
(Candace/Jeffrey/Justin/Oscar/Ericka): C+
(Candace/Benny/Hanna): B
(Jim/Kathryn): B-
(Wyatt): G-

Stray notes:
-"Are you working your way back to my complexion?"
-I have NEVER seen the middle finger on basic cable this season.
-"Where. Can. I. Find. Your. Pimp?"
-"In a moment. I'm talking to my husband. Just a minute!"
-"Sociopaths don't get upset." That was a read.
-Wyatt is a moron. F.
-Ericka is NOT loyal. Why didn't she tell Candace her weave was rising like a tsunami?
-Ericka has been dressed like she's in the Side to Side video for the entire season and I'm not sure how to feel about it. She's just been lounging around in a sports bar knowing that she's not jogging on anything but rich dick.
-Quita couldn't afford a bra?
-The white people ignoring Benny were life.
-The news broadcasters were horrible. Good grief.
