I knew that the streak of semi-reasonable eliminations had to come to an end soon. That didn't just happen, right? That was just a dream. Because in what world does one of the best vocalists get sent home after giving such a good performance. Right, sorry, the dream world that X Factor lives on.
RESULTS:
1) Sam
2) 5 After Midnight
3) Saara (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAARA AND SHARON'S REACTION!)
4) Matt
5) Emily
6) Honey G (?)
7) Gifty
Bottom 3: Ryan, 4 of Diamonds, Relley (?)
Lifeline: Ryan. (K.)
SING-OFF:
It was brutal enough for Relley to be ill and have to sing. But to have her deliver such a good performance the night before, be disrespected and thrown into the sing-off, then get eliminated is bull. Obviously it wasn't her best but her sing-off song was very well done. She sounded great.
4 of Diamonds is a little trickier. I haven't liked anything they've done at the live shows so far. But there was something magical about their sing-off performance. Their harmonies, some of the notes they hit, their chemistry. I still think there's no way Relley should have gone home, but this was their best performance so far.
I just want to get into the heads of the contestants who actually take the competition seriously then lose it to Honey G. No way in heck should Relley be anywhere near the bottom. The worst part is that the public could have saved her, but no one with taste voted in the Lifeline, apparently. I think the Lifeline vote is trash, they should scrape it. It's unnecessary. As was this entire night. X Factor, do something.
NEXT WEEK'S THEME: FRIGHT NIGHT!
Shocker.
