If Loving You Is Wrong: He's Beautiful (2x09)

Randal is delusional. That probably doesn't come as much of a shock to literally anyone that has been paying attention to this show for the past year. He can't seem to really accept his part in this web of mess that he's created for himself (oh, and it's a big one) and, basically, everyone on this show. The simple act of Randal telling Marcie that he "protected" her from it should have sent a whirlwind up your spine. He is comforted by the fact that he was cheating on Marcie with Alex in secrecy. He thinks that because Marcie and Brad decided to do it in his face, that somehow it makes what they did worse. No, girl, you got that white bitch pregnant. You're still the one at fault. You drove Marcie absolutely INSANE, you "crazy ass bastard." Randal seems to think that Marcie has no respect for him. Respect is a two way street, baby. She has no reason to show respect for the man that cheated on her, probably knocked her best friend up, snatched the dog shit out of her scalp and choked her so hard that I had trouble breathing. The two mark their territory in the house and tell the other that they aren't leaving.

Ironically, Marcie leaves. Not for good, but she stomps out to Brad's place with Randal and Miss Louise right behind her. She shoves her tongue down into his stomach and Brad plays along, telling her to "take it all off." The best part is how Brad just knows how to play along. That's why I'm skeptical when it comes to Brad being a total psychopath because one minute he's playing along, the next minute he doesn't want to take anything too far (calling Alex' racist daddy, but we'll get to that in a second). After Randal drives away, Marcie demands to see the calender and tells him that she wants to have sex with him every day Randal and Alex did it, in the shed. Brad gets ready to tell her that Alex' baby is Randal when Miss Louise storms into the house and drags her out. Kelly and Ramsey runs into them outside. Marcie gets out of helping him with the house for the day and Ramsey leaves. Kelly chases Marcie into her house and Kelly tells her that she needs to stop all of this nonsense and brace for what's coming -- aka the baby. Marcie still has no idea what all these people are talking about.

Eddie's back at the precinct. Let's just talk about everyone clapping for him with their hands, while Ben is over there clapping with his wrists because of that nub he wants to pass by as a hand. Michael B. Jordan (Pete) and is demoted to bike patrol with Ben. Michael smells something ain't sweet in the cornbread and tells Lushion before he goes. Eddie is looking forward to getting back out there with Lushion. Eddie seems to think that because Lushion saved his life that he somehow gives two shits and a bag of sour dough bread about his crazy ass. Lushion is just a kind person and he would probably feel too bad just letting someone die, even if it's Eddie, who would do the opposite to save himself in a heartbeat. Lushion wants to know what's up him and Ben and tells him he better straighten his ass out like a spine. Eddie calls over to Sally, the 911 queen (who is in charge of Claudia, the girl who saw the tape of Eddie shooting Ben) and asks about the "new girl." Sally thinks he's just being his dirty dog ass.

Natalie comes to see Esperanza, asking if Lushion is in some kind of trouble. She thinks that the money in his account is from Eddie and his drug dealer ways. Eddie gets to Esperanza's and she doesn't want him there. After telling him to get out she pushes on his paper cut (gun shot wound) and it's pretty excellent. It's on of the few things she's done on this show that wasn't irrelevant, annoying or stupid. Does Eddie have any chance at redemption, at this point? I thought the moment Esperanza said that the girl he had in the house stole his daughter's things that it would set off some paternal alarm and we'd see a human side to him but, no. He just promised to kill her. Sure, it was ridiculously funny, but it would be nice to see him step back from this crazy eyed psychopath and show some humanity (like he did when he was crying in her arms telling her he promised to change last season). Eddie deserves everything he gets. Esperanza finally lets the cat out of the bag about the drug money and the two of them have another back and forth before he goes into the room and refuses to leave.

Quan is such a hot mess, I hope Julius smacks him upside the dick. Faun and Joey are leaving the burger joint to deposit the money and Julius makes fun of him for getting his ass kicked by Joey. Then makes fun of the fact that he can read. Then makes fun of the fact that he thought he was just "a stupid ass thug" but he's just a thug. I hope all of their sends continue to stay as they are. Julius coming for the entire of Quan's life is amazing. I hope when they try to rob Faun, Julius is there so he can just criticize every step of the robbery. Julius tells Quan to establish his power by killing Joey. Joey, boy, you betta bleach!

Alex is mad that Kelly didn't tell her about Marcie and Brad having sex, and it's kind of pathetic to watch her even attempt to be mad at Kelly, who has been nothing but supportive over her since it came out that she was not only stepping out on her marriage but with another married man and was having his black baby. Let's open up a book and read Alex for the bitch she really is. This isn't being sexist because Randal is an even trashier bitch that ruined two marriages, just as much as Alex did. Alex? You and Randal deserve the hell out of each other's delusional asses. You're blaming Kelly for telling Marcie to look closely to Peppa? Well I blame you for BEING Peppa. There wouldn't have been anything to if you hadn't been fucking that married man, while you were married your own damn self. It's not Kelly's place to tell you who your husband was stepping out with just like it wasn't her place to tell Marcie who HER husband was stepping out with. I'm looking at you, bitch. It wasn't your place to get knocked up by your best friend's husband, while knowing good God damn well that she wanted to have a baby this entire time. Alex has the NERVE to try and blame Kelly for ALL of this bullshit? Kelly wasn't in that damn flashback with Marcie and those disheveled ass bangs. Kelly didn't whisper in your dumbass ears "once you go black...". Kelly wasn't the one who told you to put your hands on that man's sweaty ass chest and ride him like a tilt-a-world at the county far. She wasn't the one who told you to keep fucking that man and she told your bitch ass to end it when she did find out. And she STAYED with you in the hospital while her innocent as hell friend was over in hell hurting with no one to talk to. If you don't lay back on that damn hospital bed and have several seats on a surplus of dildos, I hope Natalie throws you down there her damn self for your bitch ass talking to all three of those girls, who have been nothing but supportive of your lying cheating, cold dead beating, two-timing and double dealing, mean mistreating, loving ASS.

Brad is ready to kick some ass. He goes up to the country side to try and tell Alex' parents to come down to the suburbs and come see their (black) grandchild because he wants to raise some hell. The father doesn't give a hot Dorito fuck but the mother wants to come see the baby. She's too scared of her husband to tell him she wants to come down. It's more than disheartening to see her be so scared of her husband that she can't even come down and see her grandchild but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Or the way the nicotine is spit to the ground, if we're sticking with the country references.

LeVar Burton (Randal in some lavender Reading Rainbow shirt) comes to the hospital to visit his (cute as heck) baby. Alex deserves every possible stroke she might get when her blood pressure goes up so I was a little happy when Randal came into the hospital room but also sad because I never want to see Randal happy. It was a cheap cliffhanger because this is about the third or fourth time someone came into Alex's room while she made a dramatic scared face but I'm ready for the next episode!

EPISODE GRADE: B
Marcie & Randal best quotes:
"I never would have done that in your face."
"I protected you from it." Maybe had you protected your dick, Alex wouldn't have a black baby by your crazy ass!
"I didn't do it on purpose" Miss Louise' face was the same as the 2.23 million who tuned in this week. Boy, please.
"I will do it again, and again."
"Let me find that bitch's calender, and I'm gonna count every day you did it and I'm gonna do it every time you did it. Me and Brad are gonna do it!" Marcie, you better work with that calender.
Miss Louise in a black dress and Marcie pissing on Randal graves is a well deserved and beautiful vision.

Miss Louise, Fix My Life:
"Because she's hurting. But sleeping with this man is not the answer."
"Marcie, can't you be mature enough to finish it?"
"What you are doing is reckless. You need to stop, and stop now before someone gets hurt even worse." (Kelly)

Eddie is the best:
"Last I checked he has no fingers and no vagina. Not my type."
"Or...?"
"You say hi when Esperanza is here." "You think I won't?"
"Names still Eddie, ain't nothin' changed!"
"I took it from your keyring and had it made while you were at work."
"You know damn well that bitch didn't mean anything to me!"
"You have no right to get mad at me for hooking up with some whore."
"That was your perfume?"
"She's nothing but a druggie, I'll kill her."
"Oh, she's dead."

Brad is a savage/Rusty commentary:
"Get upstairs, take it all off."
"Another half communist?"
"From England? Where they got a queen runnin' things. A woman. Okay boy." *spits nicotine into a beer bottle*
"Boy or girl?" "Boy." "Good."
*you hear his wrench in the background as Brad and Virginia are talking*
